Safety in Numbers

At Design Militia we care about our clients’ (and future clients’) data and keeping your content safe. After all, you're spending time creating it and carefully optimizing for search engines and people, the last thing you want is to worry about is losing it. Backing up isn’t the most interesting subject (I’ll try and make it a little fun to read) but since we’ve improved and streamlined the way we’re backing up your data, I thought I’d share our procedure and put your mind further at peace.

Back to the Future

In the very early hours of the morning our very own dedicated external server backs-up all our clients’ websites hosted with us. The external server then transfers this back-up to our internal server we call “Marty”. When Marty receives the back-up, he makes a copy and saves it to disk. We have a seven day rolling back-up meaning anything 7 days older gets deleted. Lastly, on the Friday of every week, Marty makes a DVD back-up which gets filed in our filling cabinet.

Go back in Time

If you’re thinking of having your website redesigned and want peace of mind with a beautiful user centred website, get in touch with us today. All our clients get one years free hosting and the ability to time-travel.
